Snack

In the last few weeks Palmer has started a really bad habit of wanting to snack all the time. Constant pleading for something to eat or a snack has reached an all time high. The kids get 3 meals a day and two snacks. The other day after the 10th time Palmer asked for another snack I told him that he could have carrots if he was so hungry. Remember when we talked about how much of a struggle it was to get my kids to eat their veggies sometimes? I never thought in a million years he would actually go and get the carrots out of the fridge but he did.

Even more surprising was that the bag he grabbed was shredded carrots (which I use to cook with and toss into salads). So the rule is now that Palmer can have his two normal snacks a day as usual. If he wants anything more than that he can have carrots. This is working out great but we shall see how long it lasts.

*As a side note I know that a lot of my posts lately have been complaining about the stress and things going on. I hope that you all know that we of course are very grateful for all of the many blessings in our lives and that just because I post about what is happening in our lives (and it happens to feel stressful) doesn't mean that we are taking these blessing for granted. We are thrilled to have these stresses in our lives but it does not make them any less stressful. No more than a new parent who complains about morning sickness or sleepless nights the first few days does not make them less grateful for their new baby or even the pregnancy. We have worked very hard and for a long time to get to this very point and are so thrilled to have it all pay off. Thanks for reading and being so loyal.
