Yesterday Bret surprised me with some amazing chocolates and a very sweet card. After everything that had happened last week it took me completely by surprise that he would even remember. He is on call tonight which is why he gave it to me yesterday.

You are my best friend and I love you now more than ever. I was looking at some pictures from when we first started dating and I can't believe how young we were and how far we have come. There is this sense of calme that comes over me when I realize that no matter what happens we will always have each other and I am so very thankful for that.
