Party Time

Today I got to spend 2 1/2 hours with 11 3 & 4 year olds helping with their Valentine's Day party. We did everything from decorating sugar cookies, HEART bingo, freeze dancing, crafts, chocolate fondue dipping, to chocolate syrup finger painting. It was and so very exhausting.

I then proceeded to Emily's school to drop off cupcakes for her 100th day of Kindergarten party.

To say that this week has been a tough one (not relating to the party stuff) for Bret and I may be the understatement of the year. We are physically and emotionally exhausted and so very ready for the weekend. The funny thing we were joking about this morning is that as parents we have sheltered our kids from everything and they have no idea about anything that has been going on. Sometimes we wonder how often our own parents did that for us.

We have turned the corner (we hope) and are hoping for things to get back to normal. If the post seems kind of cryptic I apologize but because it has to do with Bret's work..mum's the word.

On Monday I am helping with Emily's v-day party and am charge of the craft project for 21 kindergartners...oh boy!
